Petitions and Surveys Hands Off HRI

Everyone's opinion counts

Petitions

In the absence of any genuinely consultative approach by Greater Huddersfield and Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), we've realised that the only way we can find out everyone's opinions regarding the CCG proposals concerning the rationalisation of Urgent Care and Emergency Care at Royal Calderdale Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary is by asking you all directly.

If you work at CRH or HRI please do fill in the anonymous survey below so we can get an accurate idea of how everyone, including you, feels about the proposed changes.

If you'd like to raise your hand against the removal of Emergency Care Services from HRI, you can also sign the petitions below, starting with the Parliamentary Petition which is heading directly to the House of Commons.

Surveys - your opinion counts

HandsOffHRI Survey for Hospital Staff

The Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield CCGs have stated that clinicians are in agreement with the closure of the HRI A&E Department.

Their report said that in June 2013 a panel of National Clinical Advisory team members said "A single site model was the safest, most sustainable option."

UNISON is seeking your views on this as part of our submission to the CCG.

UNISON wants to hear from you. This survey will only take a maximum of 5 minutes of your time to complete. It is completely anonymous and you don't have to be a UNISON member to take part. Thank you.

Prevent the Closure of Huddersfield A&E Department

Parliamentary Petition started by Katy Horner

Huddersfield is one of the largest towns in Northern England. The proposal is to close Huddersfield's A&E department and move services to Halifax.

The road infrastructure will cause delays and potentially deaths and would cause a strain services within on Halifax A&E.

Save Huddersfield Royal Infirmary A&E Department

38 Degrees Petition started by Laura Pearson

The local Clinical Commissioning Groups need to reconsider their terrible proposal to close Huddersfield Royal Infirmary Accident & Emergency Department.

Why is this important?

Huddersfield is one of the largest towns in the UK. It has a growing economy and thriving student population.

With Calderdale Royal Hospital being the nearest A&E site, to take away the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary A&E will undoubtedly cost lives.

Save Our A&E

Huddersfield MP Petition started by Barry Sheerman

Accident & Emergency services at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital are under threat.

On 15th January 2016 it was announced that health chiefs intend to close Huddersfield Royal Infirmary's full A&E Unit.

Huddersfield deserves an excellent local health service.

We don't want our local hospitals to become yet another casualty of failed health policy.

We want the best possible healthcare for the people of Huddersfield and these proposals are of real concern.

Save our A&E at HRI

Colne Valley MP Petition started by Jason McCartney

Colne Valley MP Jason McCartney is shocked and appalled that our local A&E services at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary are under threat.

The proposal by local NHS bosses is completely the wrong decision and needs overturning now.

Halifax's new hospital cost £64m to build, but because of a rushed and ill-thought through PFI Contract it will actually cost the taxpayers £773m when the contact comes to an end.

Jason believes that it's ridiculous that we have to pay for this by losing our A&E at HRI.

Save the Huddersfield HRI Accident and Emergency A&E

Change.org Petition started by Karl Deitch

Can you please sign this petition to save the Huddersfield Accident and Emergency Department.

The hospital administration has proposed closing the Accident & Emergency side of the hospital.

It is imperative that this doesn't happen.

Huddersfield is far too large a town - such a move will put many people's lives in danger by forcing them to travel to Halifax for Emergency Treatment.

We need Huddersfield A&E to remain open.

No Closure for HRI A&E

Change.org Petition started by Reanna Geisler

The CCGs of Greater Huddersfield and Calderdale have proposed the closure of Huddersfield Royal Infirmary A&E Unit.

There is more than a likely risk of lives being lost if HRI A&E closed.

Reanna Geisler's brother would have died without HRI A&E.

Keep Halifax and Huddersfield A&Es Open!

38 Degrees Petition started by Jenny Shepherd

We the undersigned demand that there is no downgrading to Calderdale or Huddersfield A&E Departments and instead call for a huge investment in services to provide safe and decent staffing levels.

Why is this important?

With increased distances to A&E, come increased rates of mortality.

We don't want people dying because either Halifax or Huddersfield A&E has been closed.

We need the A&Es in both Halifax and Huddersfield to stay open.

Please sign this petition.
